What makes a song memorable, the lyrics, the tune or the singer's voice?

Arrange them according to your preference and what makes this song yr favorite.

What makes a song memorable, the lyrics, the tune or the singer's voice?
I think it is ideally a combination of all three.

But perhaps most important for a song that finds a special place in your heart and memory for what ever reason, would be the lyrics. What makes the song so special is usually the words and their mean for you.

The feelings it evokes for you may be different to how others are effected by the same song, because of who you are and what life experience has taught you.

The singer may be already "connected" to your emotions by other songs that you relate to and find special.

It may be the resonance and emotion of their voice or their public image that adds to the attraction.

There is no doubt that the modern recording studio is able to preforms virtual miracles and can make a great song even better by multitraking, with clever dubbing and editing by the sound technicians.

A truly great song, sung by a talented artist sounds just as good live as in the studio.

My favorite or one of my most favorite is old but gold, like me.lol!

"I'll stand by You" by Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders

I loved it then and it has lost none if its effect on me all these years later.

That is the test of a really great song, that it continues to be able to evoke very special feelings in you and you never tire of hearing it.

"Message of Love" is pretty special to me also.

Reply:Tune or melody or rhythm

Singer's voice

lyrics..
Reply:You cant have one without the other if you ask me. I mean technically you can, but the combination of all three together make the song more powerful in my opinion. But to answer your question, Id go with the tune. I have experience of playing the guitar and piano, and when Im in the zone, the music itself takes me to a different place. When your at a bar or a party it seems when that particular tune begins your mind automatically picks up on it as if it were just yesterday. thus making the tune my final answer. I kinda rambled there...sorry, Im tired and didnt realize.
Reply:the lyrics the tune and voice. all 3 can interchange places depending on your mood....

the lyrics matters the most i guess...

i would do anything for love - Meatloaf

cloud number nine - bryan adams

here i am - bryan adams

woh ajnabee - by mithoon (from the indian movie - The Train)

humaein tumse pyar kitna - Kishore Kumar (indian) - excellent lyrics!

and so on............ it is a really long list.. =)
Reply:out of these three singer voice is most important to make the song memorable
Reply:none of the above. i think that the surrounding events what makes the songs memorable. Sometimes a song reminds u a place u have been and brings back all the memories even if that song is stupid
Reply:1-tune

2-singer

3-lyrics..

The song "Remember" from movie troy..

sung by josh groban
Reply:i think that all the 3 u have listed makes the song memorable.

b'coz when we here a song we say that the tune is very nice, the lyrics are good and the singer has done a great job.
Reply:i think lyrics, then singer's voice, then the tunes cause i just so reasently lost a dog i dearly loved;( and i looked up some songs on youtube.com and I MISS YOU by MILEY CYRUS really gets to me now when it didnt b4
Reply:lyrics,tune,singer's voice
Reply:Its the the song sang by heart makes song memorable.
Reply:i believe it is the lyrics!!! @ least for me
Reply:For me its the tune/melody, then the lyrics, then the voice. I sing melodies in my head all the time, most don't even have lyrics but some do. I'm not so concerned with the voice, but the message the song is delivering is whats important.

For the second part of your question, my favorite song is We Daret el Ayam, (originally by Mohamed Abdel Wahab) because the melody is absolutely beautiful. My favorite version of it is by Mahmoud Fadl. No lyrics in his version though. Ana fi intizerak runs a close second.
Reply:Lets say "hadota masreya"

Lyrics, voice , tune , ALL GOOD.
Reply:its the campaign of them all i like all air supply songs

some of scorpions

Reply:the first thing i get when i listen to the song is the tune. killer guitars or a simple piano is kewl. next is the singer's voice, if he(because im a girl) has a killer (or hott) voice i'll play it over and over untilll its stuck. last is the lyrics. derogatory lyrics dont appeal, to me but if its a sweet (or sad) song, basically anything that will make me go 'aww', its a sure fav
Reply:It's the memories associated with it. For those who are about my age, LOL, hearing the song "You can't touch this" by MC Hammer brings back my High School Days. Or the song "We are the World" sung by various artists like Stevie Wonder, Lionel Richie, etc. reminds me a lot of my childhood days.
Reply:lyrics
Reply:It really depends on the type of music for me. But if I'm listening to Rock, then it's Lyrics, Tune, Singer's voice. What makes a song really memorable to me is what is happening to me while it's playing... if it's something significant, then I remember it.
Reply:For me, it's where I hear a song or with whom I am listening to a song.

I mean, I will hear a song on the radio and it will make me think of a person or a special time in my life.

Songs are really great a invoking memorable thoughts.

But for the most part it depends on the song...some I like for lyrics others for the beat. Depends on the mood too.
Reply:All them combined
Reply:the lyrics and the melody!!
Reply:The time when i listened to that song.

Now:

wi ba7ebek wa7ashteny ;-)
Reply:THE TUNE
Reply:Without good lyrics or a good tune the song will never be heard. But if you get a lousy singer than the song is ruined. So you really need all three for a balance. And if I did put down the singer's name. You would probably say .Who?
Reply:Tune - very nice %26amp; lovely

Lyrics - meaningful

I've never been to me ( song title )

Charlene (singer)
Reply:First would be the tune. If I don't like the tune, it's out, regardless of the words or who is singing it. Second would be the lyrics. Myself, I like songs with powerful lyrics. Last would be the singer's voice. If I like the song, it doesn't really matter to me who sings it.
Reply:It has to have all of them to be my favorite. I'm a picky listener lol I don't like songs with crappy lyrics, bad voice,or awful tunes. It has to be just right and pleasing to the ear ^.^.
Reply:I think the lyrics because that is what most people get out of a song. Like if you loved someone and they loved you back and you didn't know it you'd probably listen to a song that's singing about that certain topic.
Reply:just if the song belongs 2 u !!!
