I listen to a song for like a thousand times but I still cant remember the lyrics, why is that?

Could there be something wrong with me? Is my memory that bad? What can I do to improve my memory? Why cant I remember lyrics to a song when I listen to it repeatly? Could this be a medical problem? Please help.

I have a similar problem to you though not as bad as yours. I found that by reading the words I was able to remember them so much easier

Reply:Oh cripe...I sing with a large barber shop chorus (one of the very best in the northeastern US and half of Canada!) and we have two new songs to learn...and I just can't seem to get several lines in each song.





So I know what you mean. For me, it's that the words don't seem to make sense. (Also, some of the notes and chords don't seem quite right, but that's different.) Both songs have been arranged for barbershop singing by two young men (23 and 24 years old) in my chorus.





On fact, I should be studying them right now...gotta go to rehearsal in 3 hours! Catch you later!
