I'm trying to find a song that fits all three. Have any suggestions
What song lyrics best represents the Functionalist, Conflict and Interactionist theory for sociology?
SCREWED by Paris Hilton
I'm screwed
Please don't let it begin
You're under my skin
Same old story
Boys meets girl and she falls much harder than him
Baby, where's the glory
If all night, all night, you're attention's not mine
Please don't let it being
You're under my skin
It's a sin cause you're starting to win
Since I'm already screwed
Here's a message to you
My heart's wide open
I'm just not getting through to the lover in you
Yet I'm still hoping
That tonight, tonight, you're gonna turn down the lights
And give me a little more room just to prove it to you
What do I gotta do?
Just push her aside
She's not your type
So cliché when a boy falls under the spell
Of a woman from hell
It's hard to take cause
Tonight, tonight, you could have found out I might
Have been the girl of your dreams
Baby, you might have seen what it means just to really be free
Since I'm already screwed
Here's a message to you
My heart's wide open
I'm just not getting through to the lover in you
Yet I'm still hoping
That tonight, tonight, you're gonna turn down the lights
And give me a little more room just to prove it to you
What do I gotta do?
Tell me that you do
Tell me that you do
Tell me that you wanna take my number
There will come a day
An easy day in May or a storm in mid December
When you need someone just to have a little fun
I could be the perfect girl for you
When you need someone just to have a little fun
I could be the perfect girl for you to love
Since I'm already screwed
Here's a message to you

What are some song lyrics related to clothing?
I am working on a yearbook based off of song lyrics, and I need a song for the fashion page. Please give me a good variety, if you can. (i.e., songs both rock and rap, etc.)
I've already got stuff like 'Applebottom Jeans', so not that. Help ASAP?
What are some song lyrics related to clothing?
dustybottum jeans
she wore blue velvet
Blue suede shoes
Heart on my sleeve
Baggy trousers
Pretty in Pink
Lady in Red
Dressed in white robes
The sisterhood of the traveling pants
Slip into victory
Garments of Praise
Keep it zipped
Tip your hat to the lady's
Place the cloak around her shoulders
Men in black
Reply:tailor made by taylor swift
go on youtube and type in tailor made lyrics and it'll pop up it also includes make-up and stuff i think try it
Reply:If you are chilly/ here take my sweater
(The way I Am- Ingrid Michaelson)
When she dreams/ she sees herself in her Sunday dress/ humming simple melodies....
(Sundays- Daphne Loves Derby)
Reply:Jeff Wears Birkenstocks - NOFX
Reply:Who the hell writes songs about clothes?
Reply:Apple Bottom Jeans, Boots With the fur.

What song Lyrics relate to a Lewis Carroll poem?
I need a song that has lyrics that have the same theme (or just mean the same thing) as any poem by Lewis Carroll.
What song Lyrics relate to a Lewis Carroll poem?
Well, it's not a poem, but "White Rabbit" by Jefferson Airplane is very much inspired by Alice in Wonderland.
It's a bit druggier than I think Lewis Carroll every really intended, but the references are clear, overt even.

Can someone write me a poem or song lyrics?
The things that have to be mensioned are as followed
Reservoir Dogs- how they are the best and how proud the members are
Guns/shooting/winning
World war 2
just come up with something, best gets 10 points
Can someone write me a poem or song lyrics?
In tempered times
When hog is full.
The reservoir dogs
Prevail.
With proud and glory
Wet with pain
No evil
Goods deeds,no shame
The guns are blazing,protection be.
Inside,Around
A shooting sound.
Winning free,behold
But when
In time
When memories mend
A winning war,in world war 2
In smoke
In tears
We hear the cheers.
A ended war,Of red and blood
Our hero's will be home.
Reply:I'm not sure what Reservoir Dogs has to do with WWII...it's about a botched jewel heist and the ultimate doom of all its perpetrators...guns, shooting, winning (or the attempt at winning) works, but the WWII connection I can't see.
The best laid plans of mice and men
Do often go awry
But Reservoir Dogs do worse than that
And in the end they die
Guns and shooting may win the day
When the day ends in a score
But battles well fought mean nothing
If winning them loses the war
Mice and men and Reservoir Dogs
Alike in ways unkind
As each laid plan worked perfectly
But only in their mind
cheers
You

How can I get the song lyrics to Jon Nicholson's new song 'Grandma'? Tried his website, but no luck.
I saw him in concert with The Muzikmafia and Big %26amp; Rich with Gretchen Wilson in concert and he was pretty good. This new song of his is really good about his ninety-something grandma trying pot for the first time and it is just so funny! Other than the subject matter, the song lyrics are very clean.

Here you go!!!!
Grandma:
Grandma's turning 92
And that's a lot of years ahead of you
So listen close to what I say
Cause Grandma's feelin all old today
She said I can't believe I'm sittin here as long as I am
And never been stoned
I've waited too damn long
So bring it on
Grandma's gonna fly
So I rolled it up and I passed it around
Grandma smoked the whole thing down
Said she was making up for wasted ground
There's too many times she turned it down
She said you live your life until its gone
Thing things you never try just slip away
or they're going to
I've waited too damn long
So bring it on
Grandma's gonna fly
And than she talked about the old days
Said some things that really blew my mind
See cause you ain't seen a thing
Till you've seen grandma gettin high
Yeeahhh
Now grandma she didn't have much time left
But she made use of every breath
And I swear she smiled before she left
As I felt the world fall off her chest
Ooohhh
And as the gates of heaven opened wide
She slipped over to the other side
She was singing
Yea
I've waited too damn long
So bring it on
Grandma's gonna fly
I've waited too damn long
So bring it on
Grandma's gonna fly
Fly

What song lyrics relate to war time struggle ?
I need to do a project on how my book relates to a song, and I don't listen to music much. I need a song whose lyrics relate to that kind of struggle.
What song lyrics relate to war time struggle ?
I recommend any of the cover songs in Emotive by A Perfect Circle. Its all based on war (although you should pick well, because a few of those songs are just too strong for a school project)
Reply:I can't believe no one said "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day yet.
Reply:well, theres war pigs by black sabbath, ghost of you by my chemical romance, then theres some country song that i think is called someting like american soldier, or just soldier
Reply:Just try to google war time songs. I think there are war songs, or songs about soldiers, or the home front in nearly every culture.
Anyway here is a site full of lyrics, so you will find some songs I suppose.
Reply:The Star Spangled Banner
Battle Hymn of the Republic
Dixie
When Johnny Comes Marching Home
Yankee Doodle
Marine's Hymn
The Highlander's Farewell
I'm sure there are a million more........
Reply:"I Just Came Back From a War" Daryl Worley
"American Soldier" Toby Keith
Try country there's a lot of war songs in country music.
Reply:the war by angels and airwaves.
Its a good song.

Are there royalty fees for using brand names or song lyrics in books?
If i wanted to publish a book, would i be able to use Hershey Kisses and "Me Against The World" by Simple Plan without getting fined by the band and company?
Are there royalty fees for using brand names or song lyrics in books?
I really hate it when people post incorrect information.
Brand names - no assuming you aren't using them in a slanderous or libelous manner. If it is a common product, you can mention the name but not demean it in any way. You could also just say "chocolate kisses".
If the book is being published by a traditional publisher, the copyeditor who reads it will go through and look for issues like this. If they sense a problem, they will ship it over to Legal who will check it out. A publisher is not going to take a chance on a lawsuit. If you self publish it, you are on your own and can be sued because nobody will check content for you.
Song lyrics are a completely different matter. The answer in short is a big NO. Song lyrics are copyrighted. You would have to contact ASCAP or BMI whichever organization has that song and request use of it. Then they would write you back and discuss the usage. If they approve it, you would have to send the author a big fat check.
The way around it is to simply say "He was humming Me Against the World" in her ear or however you are using it. Then you just depend on the fact that your readers know the song and can picture the lyrics in their minds. Song titles cannot be copyrighted and therefore can be used.
If the song was written before 1923, it is in the public domain and can be used. There are lists you can check to see if the song lyrics are free to use. But trust me they are very old songs.
I tried to get the rights to a song for one of my books and decided NO WAY I was paying all that money for a couple of lines of lyrics. It was astronomical. Just work around it.
Hope that helps.

Reply:Assuming your book is a novel or similar, you shouldn't have a problem, depending on how you're using them. as long as don't claim their own artistic intent as your own.
Copyright really doesn't apply to art imitating art, or art imitating life.
Regardless, if your book is being published, it will be edited by the publisher, who will use a professional to do this. If there are any infringements they will let you now what they are, and how to rectify them.

What is the difference between song lyrics and poetry?
besides the fact that one is put to music. i think that's pretty obvious.
What is the difference between song lyrics and poetry?
Poetry - good poetry - uses words economically to paint little pictures in the mind. The meter, rhyme, timbre, etc support the word pictures. (Read EA Poe's "The Bells") In the end the words must stand alone and set the tone, carry the message and elicit the feeling/s the poet desires to portray.
Lyrics support the music (or vice versa) in carrying the message to the customer. In listening to Carlos Santana playing the mood and message come through the music. Having the lyrics in Spanish adds to the mood.
Poetry read in a foreign language would not portray the picture the poet wanted, while music from a foreign land will. So, in music the lyrics support the music while in poetry the words must stand alone.
Reply:Then why ask?
Poetry is primarily the craft of words with rhythm being fhe accents.
Song Lyrics are primarily that craft of sounds, including rhythm, repetition, and tonal melody and quality.
Although Lyrics can be read as poetry and poetry set to music, as it has been hundreds of times, the focus is different.
Reply:No difference. Lyrics ARE a form of poetry.
Isn't it funny to think that one of the most popular devices - the ipod - is designed to store poetry?
Reply:Nuttin'. Just ask Dr. Suess and 50 cent. Also, have you noticed that they have never been in a picture together? Hmmm...could Dr. Suess and 50 cent be the same person!!!???

Since I was little, I have liked to make up my own words to the music I hear on the radio. I enjoy all gengres of music and I think I would be great at coming up with catchy hooks. Can anyone give me some advice on how to break into the business.

Any ideas of a pretty poem or song lyrics to put on the back of my wedding program?
Could you all help me find a pretty poem about love or a pretty song lyric about love to print on the back of my wedding programs? I was thinking maybe putting the lyrics of "Making Memories of Us" by Keith Urban on the back of our programs since that is "our" song. But, it just doesn't fit what I am looking for. Any ideas?
Any ideas of a pretty poem or song lyrics to put on the back of my wedding program?
Here is one that was read at a friends wedding.
These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever.
These are the hands that will work alongside of yours, as together you build your future. These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind. These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes: tears of sorrow and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children. These are the hands that will help you to hold onto your family as one. These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it most.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.
Reply:Maybe this won't help, but I'm putting our first dance song lyrics on the back of our programs.
"We've Only Just Begun" by The Carpenters
We've only just begun
To live
White lace and promises
A kiss for luck and we're on our way
Before the rising sun
We fly
So many roads to choose
We start out walking and learn to run
And yes we've only just begun
Sharing horizons that are new to us
Watching the signs along the way
Talking it over just the two of us
Working together day to day
Together
And when the evening comes
We smile
So much of life ahead
We'll find a place where there's room to grow
And yes we’ve just begun
To live
We’ve only just begun
To live

"You have known each other from the first glance of acquaintance to this point of commitment. At some point, you decided to marry. From that moment of yes to this moment of yes, indeed, you have been making promises and agreements in an informal way. All those conversations that were held riding in a car or over a meal or during long walks - all those sentences that began with “When we’re married” and continued with “I will and you will and we will”- those late night talks that included “someday” and “somehow” and “maybe”- and all those promises that are unspoken matters of the heart. All these common things, and more, are the real process of a wedding. The symbolic vows that you are about to make are a way of saying to one another, “ You know all those things we’ve promised and hoped and dreamed- well, I meant it all, every word.” Look at one another and remember this moment in time. Before this moment you have been many things to one another- acquaintance, friend, companion, lover, dancing partner, and even teacher, for you have learned much from one another in these last few years. Now you shall say a few words that take you across a threshold of life, and things will never quite be the same between you. For after these vows, you shall say to the world, this- is my husband, this- is my wife."

1.) These I Can Promise
Author Unknown
I cannot promise you a life of sunshine;
I cannot promise riches, wealth, or gold;
I cannot promise you an easy pathway
That leads away from change or growing old.
But I can promise all my heart's devotion;
A smile to chase away your tears of sorrow;
A love that's ever true and ever growing;
A hand to hold in yours through each tomorrow.
2.) A Marriage- Unknown
A marriage is two special friends
Who blend their lives as one,
Who pledge to love with all their hearts
Until their lives are done.
A marriage is a friend for life --
A lover’s sweet embrace,
A faithful partner one can trust
And dreams to share and chase.
A marriage is a feeling warm
When cold winds blow at night.
It’s comfort in the midst of trials
And hope at morning’s light.

Today we begin the rest of our life
together forever as husband and wife.
Our dreams came true, with love and more
Adventures to have, the world to explore
We'll share our joys, we'll share our sorrows;
We can already see many bright tomorrows.
We'll share our friends and family, too.
And you are part of that special crew.
Thank toy for celebrating our wedding day
As we share our vows we just want to say:
These wedding memories will become a treasure,
and see you here is part of the pleasure.

The first time I loved forever
Was when you whispered my name
And I knew at once you loved me
For the me of who I am
The first time I loved forever
I cast all else aside
And I bid my heart to follow
Be there no more need to hide
And if wishes and dreams are merely for children
And if love's a tale for fools
I'll live the dream with you
For all my life and forever
There's a truth I'll always know
When my world divides and shatters
Your love is where I'll go
The lyrics are by Melanie Safka and it is sung by Lisa Angelle, and the melody is by Lee Holdridge, oh and the title is The First Time I Loved Forever.

We'd take our time and live our lives together day by day
We'll make a wish and send it on a prayer
We know our dreams can all come true
With love that we can share
With you I never wonder - Will you be there for me
With you I never wonder - You're the right one for me
I finally found the love of a lifetime
A love to last my whole life through
I finally found the love of a lifetime
Forever in my heart, I finally found the love of a lifetime
With every kiss our love is like brand-new
And every star up in the sky was made for me and you
Still we both know that the road is long
(But) We know that we will be together
Because our love is strong
Good luck sweetie!

If you want to use a poem from an old poet in your song lyrics, what do you have to do to get that okayed if?
the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow is dead? He died in 1882 I know that if an author is still alive you can obtain permission that way to use their verse as lyrics.. but if they are dead, how do you use the poem legally?
If you want to use a poem from an old poet in your song lyrics, what do you have to do to get that okayed if?
Some works are in the public domain, so you don't need permission. Other works by dead authors are still owned by heirs or publishers. Check a book of Longfellow's poetry (you should be able to find one in the bookstore or in the library) and see if there is a copyright - you'll find it on the first information page after the title page - and that will tell you who to contact for permission to use the poem.
Reply:Though you still want to check, the general rule for when something enters the public domain is by going to the time the author died and adding 75 years. There are some exceptions. The link below has some goes over some of the basics.
Reply:Longfellow is in public domain, you lucked out =)

Where can I copyright song lyrics and stories that I have written?
Is there a offical website? What is the process involved in copyrighting ?
Where can I copyright song lyrics and stories that I have written?
Here is the site for registering copyrights: USPTO.GOV
Technically, the moment you write something, it's yours. Generally, as long as you can get a person to verify the date you wrote the material, you got what is called a common law copyright.
But to be asbolutely safe, your best bet would to register with the cite i provided for you.
Reply:As soon as you commit them to a 'tangible medium" - ie write them down or record them, they are copyright. The process is automatic.
You can also register the copyright in most countries for the payment of a fee. This, in some countries, gives you additional protection.
Google 'copyright office' and your countries name for specific information for your country.

You can always hire an attorney to make sure it is done properly.

I personally hire an attorney to do mine. That way if it is done improperly and I lose money, I have the option to sue the attorney for the money since it is their error!
(I do not personally know the businesses listed, they are just some examples I found) It is good you are protecting yourself. I lost quite a bit of my work before I found out how to protect myself!
Good Luck!

What do you think of this song lyrics so far?
I'd rather love myself than you.
Im so glad that we are through.
Get out, get lost, just hit the road.
I've got my own dreams, i dont need to be told(held for like 3 seconds)
That baby, my love cant be sold
It's a song about a a boyfriend who showers his gf in gifts becasue he is using her but she finds out and write him a song
The title is "My Love Can't Be Sold"
What do you think of this song lyrics so far?
very nice!!!!!
Reply:i can imagine it being a rock,R%26amp;B,or pop song, or soul
depends on how you sing it.
Though it's too rhymed. road, told, sold. And you and through its good beginner song but try to make it rhyme less.
like:
"I'd rather love myself than you.
Im so glad that we're finally through.
Get out, get lost, just go away(hold).
I've got my own dreams, i don't need to be told (held for like 3 seconds)
That baby, my love cant be sold."
then maybe you could do something like:
Don't feel guilty, just go with the other.
I don't need you for an( another but with short pause)other second.
There's something I don't shutter to say.If you know what's good for you get lost cause' my love can't be sold, baby.
Reply:too cliche. no offense but it's amature work.
it reminds me of songs already made.
I can name 2 of them...
- Mario Vasquez "Gallery"
- Jojo "Leave (Get out)"
parts of the lyrics and such.
sorry but it sounds like a song I'd never listen to.
Reply:nice but a little rhyme-y
Reply:sounds great u should put a slow guitar or bass solo to it i like it

Getting permission to put song lyrics in a novel?
How would one go about doing that?
Getting permission to put song lyrics in a novel?
super is correct, _but_ your course of action depends on:
1) Is the song in the public domain? ("Mary Had a Little Lamb" is in the public domain, versus REM's "Supernatural Superserious," which is not.)
2) How much of the song are you using? (A significant portion, or the whole song, falls under copyright, whereas a line or two might not, depending on factors.)
Consult the library of your nearest law school and they'll be happy to give you advice. (Most state universities have a law school, for instance.)
Reply:I write for megapublisher Harlequin, so I can tell you that it just isn't true that the legal departments of large publishers handle permissions for this kind of thing. Nor do literary agents. They don't have the time! A publisher or agent can provide authors with the necessary forms, but the authors must seek the copyright holders on their own and secure--and PAY for--the permissions. If an author does not provide the signed permissions forms to her publisher, the copyrighted material in question will be deleted from the book. Period. Contrary to what some have said here, it is NOT okay to use "just a line" from a song, with or without attribution.
In my upcoming book, I mention the titles of six popular songs and the artist who recorded them. That's fine. Titles aren't copyrighted and recording artists are public figures, so no permission is needed there. But using even a snippet of a song's lyrics is risking a copyright infringement lawsuit. I got around that by summarizing what the songs were about. Here's an example:
QUOTE
Jake turned his key in the ignition. His CD player powered up and George Strait put in his two cents' worth, sliding smoothly into the chorus of "Nobody in His Right Mind Would Have Left Her," a song about a foolish man who'd turned his back on the woman of his dreams.
UNQUOTE
If you still want to use actual lyrics in your novel, you can deal with the permissions problem when you sell the book. If you go the self-publishing route, contact the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers at http://ascap.com for assistance on finding out who holds copyright on the lyrics in question and how you might approach them for permission.
Reply:This is something your publisher will do for you - they have a whole legal department that looks after 'permissions' of various types. Basically, what they do is find out who holds the copyright to the song. Just because some group (or many groups) has recorded it doesn't mean they own the rights to the song. They, too, have to get performing rights and pay royalty to the person who actually wrote the song. So you would have to track down the publisher of the song, and their legal department would talk to your novel publisher's legal department and come to an agreement. You could do the same thing, but you'd want to have a lawyer go over the agreement to make sure they didn't come back and sue you for misuse - they very carefully spell out how much of the song lyrics you can use and in what context.
Reply:Yeah, like the previous person said. But you don't really have to do that personally, if you have an agent. Then just tell them what lyrics you need permission for and just tell you agent. Or you could have the publishers put a citing page in the back where you cite all of the lyrics that have been published in there. Good luck w/ your book!

Reply:Dizzy,
If you're not going to use a whole lot of the song, I wouldn't bother with permissions. I did this in my novel with an Alan Jackson song, but only used a line and did mention it was by Jackson.
It's the same if you quote a poem. You simply put the poet's name at the end. When you decide to publish your work, your literary agent will advise on the permissions.

How do I add my own lyrics to a popular song and post the music video on YouTube?
would like to take a popular song, without their lyrics, and add my own on a different topic. Ultimately this will go on YouTube. I have a video camera. I don't have any special software.
Are there any useful downloads for such a task?
How do I add my own lyrics to a popular song and post the music video on YouTube?
use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)...
and...
use a web cam and start recording something... or
Just get those clips you want , save %26amp; convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/lyrics/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....
this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.
Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 video formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.
It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mpg videos with windows movie maker. Ensure you use dvd conversion setting for better quality video.
It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mpg videos with windows movie maker. Ensure you use dvd conversion setting for better quality video.
It works very well....just google search for "zillatube"

Reply:Is this what you want to do?
so you want to get that song but with no words so its like an instrumental song then you want to add your words in that song, if thats what you wanted to do then windows movie maker i guess could work sort of you just download that song in instrumental than use a microphone to sing whatever your song is and sort of add it into that song dunno really but this may work. Good Luck

My advice: Try to find the songs in Spanish. However, sometimes, even the title may be changed.

What are the lyrics (in English) to the Lee Hyori song Just 10 minutes?
The song and lyrics are quite catchy, but I have no idea what they mean! (Besides that she's singing something about having just 10 minutes). Help!
What are the lyrics (in English) to the Lee Hyori song Just 10 minutes?
*Just One 10 MINUTES The time when you become mine
The men crying because they've been deceived by my innocent tricks
Baby you're being shaken by a different charm
Have some courage, come to me, You know you can have me
This one late night,
The place I went alone,
The people dancing
In there was you and your girl
Somehow, I was attracted you and wanted you
In that 10 minutes when she left her seat
**The boring moment
All changed the moment when you saw me (Im telling you)
Forgetting about the long love, the important fact is
You're attracted to me more
#I say your girl is looking in the mirror right now
And she is putting some coats of a bright red lipstick
Baby her feet probably hurt from the high heels
Im different, please dont compare me with her
I said its not a short moment
We can become trapped in a movie
In a movie, 10 minutes become a year
Dont be afraid, you want me too
repeat **
Just one 10 MINUTES The time when you become mine
After everything is over, she is coming back
Baby, her bright red lipstick looks horrible
Come to me, its ok to hold me now
Don't tell a lie just be yourself
Dont make it hard on yourself and turn away
Tell me to follow you (have it your way)
Bling Bling shine it's right to come
Tell me that I've fallen in love with you
If you're going to tella lie,
Pretend that none of this happened
repeat #
repeat *
Just one 10 MINUTES Just one 10 MINUTES
*I hope that helps!*

What are some good song lyrics?
MY IMMORTAL
i'm so tired of being here
suppressed by all my childish fears
but if you have to leave
i wish that you would just leave
'cause your prescence still lingers here
and it won't leave me alone
these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase
when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
i held your hand through all of these years
but you still have...all of me
you used to captivate me
by your resonating light
now i'm bound by the life you left behind
your face, it haunts
my once pleasant dreams
your voice, it's chased away
all the sanity in me
these wounds won't seem to heal
this pain is just too real
there's just too much that time cannot erase
when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
i held your hand through all of these years
but you still have all of me
i've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
but though you're still with me
i've been alone all along
when you cried i'd wipe away all of your tears
when you'd scream i'd fight away all of your fears
i held your hand through all of these years
but you still have...all of me
all of me
all of me
all...

I Will Always Love You
If I
Should stay
I would only be in your way
So I'll go
But I know
I'll think of you every step of
the way
And I...
Will always
Love you, oohh
Will always
Love you
You
My darling you
Mmm-mm
Bittersweet
Memories
That is all I'm taking with me
So good-bye
Please don't cry
We both know I'm not what you
You need
And I...
Will always love you
I...
Will always love you
You, ooh
(Instrumental/Sax solo)
I hope
life treats you kind
And I hope
you have all you've dreamed of
And I wish you joy
and happiness
But above all this
I wish you love
And I...
Will always love you
I...
Will always love you

I, I will always love
You....
You
Darling I love you
I'll always
I'll always
Love

Woman In Love
Life is a moment in space
When the dream is gone
Its a lonelier place
I kiss the morning goodbye
But down inside you know
We never know why
The road is narrow and long
When eyes meet eyes
And the feeling is strong
I turn away from the wall
I stumble and fall
But I give you it all...
Chorus:
I am a woman in love
And I do anything
To get you into my world
And hold you within
Its a right I defend
Over and over again
What do I do?
With you eternally mine
In love there is
No measure of time
We planned it all at the start
That you and i
Would live in each others hearts
We may be oceans away
You feel my love
I hear what you say
No truth is ever a lie
I stumble and fall
But I give you it all
Repeat chorus
I am a woman in love
And Im talking to you
Do you know how it feels?
What a woman can do
Its a right
That I defend over and over again......

Reply:These lyrics are from "Walk Away" by Ben Harper
Oh no, here comes that sun again,
that means another day without you my friend.
And hurts me to look into the mirror at myself,
and it hurts even more to have to be with somebody else.
And it's so hard to do,
and so easy to say,
but sometimes, sometimes, you just have to walk away,
walk away.
So many ppl to love in my life.
Why do I worry about one.
But you put the happi in my -ness,
You put the good times into my fun,
And it's so hard to do,
and so easy to say,
but sometimes, sometimes,
you just have to walk away, walk away,
and head for the door.
We've tried the good and bye, so many days.
We walk in the same direction, so that we could never stray.
They say if you love somebody,
Then you have to set them free.
But I would rather be locked to you,
Then live in this pain and misery.
They say time will make this go all away,
But it's time that has taken my tomorrows,
and turned them into yesterdays.
And once again that rising sun is droppin on down,
and once again you my friend,
are nowhere to be found.
And it's so hard to do,
and so easy to say,
but sometimes, sometimes,
you just have to walk away, walk away,
and head for the door.
You just walk away, walk away, walk away,
just walk on, walk on, turn and head for the door,
just walk away.
Thanks for your time!

Is there a cheap way to copyright your own song lyrics?
If you will, please elaborate.
Is there a cheap way to copyright your own song lyrics?
Wolf is mostly right. Better is to have the postal worker seal the letter up with this special tape they have, and pay the certified rate. He will then immediately have you sign for it, and you walk away with "the poor man's copyright".
Just don't open the envelope until you're actually in court.......
Reply:Actually, anything you originally produce is automatically copyrighted as the Berne Convention Agreement states, "A work does not have to be registered with the Library of Congress to be copyrighted." Although, if you sue a person for copyright infringement and you have not registered your work with the library of congress you can only sue for damages and not for the cost of your legal fees, which if you are battling a media giant, can cost a pretty penny.
To be absolutely safe, go to http://www.copyright.gov/
to register your material. You don't have to pay for each song you produce if you submit it as 1 volume of songs. (i.e. if you submit a whole album, then all the songs on that album are copyrighted and you only pay one fee. )
Reply:Stay away from the companies that offer to do it for you. You don't need them. It's just as easy to do it for yourself, and much cheaper. Directly registering something you have written costs $45. The companies that promise to do it for you will charge you twice as much for something that is easy for you to do yourself.
Visit the government website here: http://www.copyright.gov/
One method that some poets use is to copyright a collection of poems rather than individual poems. The work is still covered, but it costs less. Song lyrics should work the same way, although hopefully the website will clarify that for you. If someone wants to buy an individual song you've written, you can have it copyrighted individually at that time.
Hope this helps!
Reply:A copyright costs $45.00. But for that you can copyright any number of 'works'.
See the Patents and Copyright Office in Washington, D.C.
Reply:date them and mail them to your slef. then save the letter. the postmark will show you had then before anyone else did
Reply:You could publish them as poems at poetry.com, the site automatically copyrights the material to you.

Is there is any programme can separate music in song from lyrics?
Guyz i need a real help , i need to know if there is a programme on computer can separate music in song from lyrics , plzzzzzzzzzzzz neeeeeeeeeeed help
Is there is any programme can separate music in song from lyrics?
without the audio source (which you dont have and cant get) you cant completely remove lyrics from a song. theres software you can get (google it) but all that does is remove certain frequencies and pitches from songs, which will A) take away from song of the instruments B) will leave a faint "ghost" of the words.
some songs you can do a good job of hiding the lyrics, some songs you utterly destroy the song and you can still hear the words, really depends on the song.
Reply:Try Adobe Audition, you can tweak it there, you can even remove the vocals on the song.

Question about the meaning of song lyrics from the musical Guys and Dolls: What does this mean?
SARAH:
I'll know when my love comes along.
I won't take a chance,
For, oh, he'll be just what I need
Not some fly by night Broadway romance
SKY:
And you'll know at a glance
By the two pair of pants!
Does anyone know what Sky is talking about here? "Two pair of pants"? It seems to be an insult, some 1950s slang? It drives me nuts every time I listen to it. I know that he is being condescending of her very conservative view of love, but I have no idea what that phrase means. Any ideas?
Question about the meaning of song lyrics from the musical Guys and Dolls: What does this mean?
Guys and Dolls was one of if not he first musical to use slang. So it is possible that it is a reference that is now lost. I think it may be because back then people didn't have much 'stuff' Anyone who owned two pairs of pants probably had a steady white collar income (not entirely common) I think Sky is trying to be condescending. He would not respect someone who worked at the same job everyday, preferring his fly-by-night life style.
I think that is what he is getting at. She will know love because he will be boring/respectable
Reply:I think it is more likely he is being a little condescending to her, saying love is not going to be a knight in shining armor but a meeting where you end up the next morning with two pairs of pants on the floor and then you are in love Report It
Reply:Funnily enough, I'm working on this song for a class too, haha. I'd agree with both interpretations above, and going a little along the with showing signs of income, when you think about it, two really isn't that many either, so he's obviously not wealthy or flashy, like Sky himself. But no, I don't think that phrase itself is one that was tossed around all the time in the 50s.
Reply:Because when a guy arrives with two pair of pants, one is for the closet, so it won't be a fly-by-night romance. He's staying a longer spell.

How do you write song lyrics?
Is there a particular format one has to follow when writing lyrics, or is there a selection of formats? And if there is a selection, can somebody show me what those formats are?
Also, does anyone have any good exercises to help generate lyrics?
I've been coming up with bits and pieces, but I've been having a hard time making an actual song from the fragments I've written.
Any help is greatly appreciated, so thank you!
How do you write song lyrics?
All you need to write a good song is inspiration. When you feel inspired, don't let this chance get away. You must concentrate to the song and the words that you got on your mind. I think that you're problem is that you never finish your lyrics and it's real bad, because you should make the lyrics from the beginning to the end. If you don't then you will lose your inspiration. Doing the lyrics in pieces is wrong because is very hard to put them together. When you start writing a song you must finish it even if you are doing something else in the moment of the inspiration. Write every single word which passes through your mind and don't stop working, because if you stop you can't continue that song anymore.
Reply:there really is no "format" to writing lyrics, it just comes to you. its kinda like poetry to music. you can write about whatever you want, and its a way of expressing yourself. if there was a format to writing that everyone followed, then all music would be pretty boring, right? just give it time, it will come to you! good luck! %26lt;3
Reply:okay so the form is pretty basic,
you start with either verse or chorus, so I'll start with verse
Verse 1:
blah (song) blah
if the verse is shorter than 4 lines add another verse or a bridge, which is a build up to the chorus
Chorus:
round about 5 - 7 lines worth and easy to sum up all the verses
Verse 2 or down bridge
(down bridge is kind of a slide down? to the next verse)
again, if its less than 4 lines, add another verse or a bridge
for the chorus, make a new one or use the first chorus
Main bridge (this sums up the whole song)
Song Naming:
either use a word in the song that is only used once but sums it up, or the main bar of the chorus, for instance,
Brooke frasers song Albertine, Albertine is the main bar of the chorus.
Have fun!
Reply:I used to play in a band and we had written our own songs. How did we do it? firstly, we'd jam a tune, and I'd hum the singing tune or just sing out whatever comes to mind....later we'd listen to the playback and I'd pen out words to fill in the hum tune...make it rhyme and fill in whatever comes to mind....somehow it works for me....
u can listen to our 'gibberish' at: myspace.com/melamines
Reply:umm it's like writing a story or a love note or something just make something up or if you are in love write a note and use them as lyrics or just start something small like write the story okay i don't know what i am saying just write something...
Reply:It's just like poetry, except to music, there are a horde of different styles/formats. It helps to use pen and paper, that's the only common thing. Also, to make a good one, write about something you know, a personal experience, a place you like, someone you like (or dislike).
Reply:I am a story teller (a ballad writer) so I simply write from experiences I or my friends have had.

How do I make good song lyrics?
I'm writing the lyrics of a song my classmates are working with. I just can't seem to make them nice! Does anyone have techniques for making good lyrics?
The song's about animals, mind you.
How do I make good song lyrics?
First you need to decide what the song is going to be about. Is it about saving the animals? Or, a song from an animals perspective? Or a song about how predators hunt? etc.
A good way to find words to use is to write a word, that has to do with the subject, on a piece of paper. Then write down all the things that relate to that word.
Example: Animals
1. Furry
2. Fast
3. Sharp teeth etc.
Then you can take a word from the list and continue the same way.
Example: Furry
1. Soft
2. Smooth
3. Colorful etc.
You can do this over and over. It will help you come up with many ideas......good luck!
Reply:well..for one thing..get inspired by animals...go to a zoo or farm or anything with animals in them..

I've tried and tried and nothing sounds right. What are some tips on how to write them.
How to write song lyrics?
***A FOOLPROOF WAY TO WRITE MEANINGFUL LYRICS!***You don't really write them. Let the song come to you. Come up with a melody, a simple, catchy, sweet, lovely melody. Then, hum it to yourself in everything you do. Your feelings, emotions, experiences, ect. will fill in the words as you go, so you'll never get the same one twice. Then, I PROMISE you'll notice one while your singing it to yourself that you fall in love with. Write it down quickly, and start singing it with those lyrics. The rest of your song will fill in as you go. This is FOOLPROOF, and It always comes up with beautiful heartfelt lyrics because they literally come from your heart. :) Good luck!
From one song-writer to another. :)
Reply:And moreover:
Write lots and lots of lyrics. Neil Young once threatened an audience that when he wrote "Sugar Mountain", he wrote 103 verses and kept the best three--and if they didn't all sing along like he asked them he was going to torment them with the other 100.
Look for a 'hook' which is defined as the little nugget of the pop song that sticks in the listener's ear. The 'hook' is usually in the chorus and is repeated, a very catchy phrase (sometimes there are instrumental hooks as well).
Reply:Write a song the way you would write a letter to someone. This will avoid cliche, hokey ideas and rhymes.
Reply:If you are new to songwriting, I would suggest starting with a song which has two or three verses, a chorus, and maybe a bridge. This style of song lends itself to developing a rhyming scheme, and the meter is usually regular, making it easier for you to come up with words you can sing.
To start, decide what your song is about and write that down in two sentences or less.
Ex. "This is a song about a woman who quits her job, sells her possessions, and finds enlightenment in Nepal.
Her "Nepal" represents the dream all of us have within us for a better life".
Next, (and this is the trickiest part) come up with one line which is your hook, your theme, the line that sums up your song. This line, which frequently comes at the end of the first verse or in the chorus, is often the title of the song.
In my example it might be: Going to Nepal.
From this line (which I have decided to put at the end of the first verse, I will try to come up with the last two or three lines of verse one, working out ideas that rhyme with Nepal.
Perhaps:
Just trying to keep my sanity
before I lose it all,
Goodbye to pride and vanity
I'm GOING TO NEPAL.
Now write the start of the verse with lines which tell your story and lead up to the hook.
I quit my job this morning
Underneath a blue-grey sky,
It was sudden, without warning,
And my friends all asked me why?
Just trying to keep my sanity,
Before I lose it all,
Good-bye to pride and vanity,
I'm going to Nepal.
End all of your verses with your hook line, or with a variation
of the hook which ends with the same word.
Do the chorus in similar fashion. The key is to make your words count. Tell your story as completely as you can, using as few words as you can get away with.
Be sure to try singing it as you are writing. This will assure you of getting the meter right.
Hope this helps you get started.
Reply:First, what is it that you want to write about? Pick one idea and stick directly to that one idea, don't get too confusing or too fancy. Nice and simple. Then find ways to say that one point in creative ways, think of similes and metaphors, something like ... "love is like the rose that blooms in spring, wondrous yet filled with thorns."
Mechanically, the key is to figure out how many beats you have in a line, all of the lines should have the same number, figure out a rhyming pattern, and then make it all fit.
Remember, keep the lyrics simple, listen to some of the songs and you'll hear repeating chorus, simple ideas and very few words actually ... you're not writing a story, it's a poem.
Reply:Not everyone is a natural songwriter, nothing bad about that. I have been writing songs as long as I have been talking so it comes easy for me. Most songs burst forth. I have been writing for 45 years. It's as natural for me as breathing.
When I was young I would copy technique, chord patterns and the rhythmic flow of the words of songwriters I liked. I did the same with my guitar playing. I did this for practice with poetry as well. It was a learnig technique I found quite valuable as a training tool. When learning to paint or draw, one copies the style of the artists one admires. It's the same with music. Once you get some kind of groove going, then let your mind wander and start changing things up. Copying technique for practice is not plagerism as long as it is done as an exercise. It's flexing mental muscles.
Reply:just let anything that comes to mind go on to paper and then perfect it after your ideas are lead out...thats what i try when i write stories and junk so it might work with songs to...

What do you think of these song lyrics as a poem?
When I'm gone, just carry on, don't mourn.
Rejoice ,
every time you hear the sound of my voice.
Just know that I'm looking down on you smiling.
And I didn't feel a thing,
So baby don't feel no pain.
Just smile back
It's from a song "When I'm gone " by Eminem . I think it would make a nice poem too . What do you think ?
What do you think of these song lyrics as a poem?
i think it would be a good poem.
Reply:nice yeah i think that would make a good poem
Reply:it has good lyrics for a song, but some things in it may not work for a poem, like the part when it says "So baby don't feel no pain". its using a double negative, so in writing that wouldn't excatly work, but other than that it sounds like a nice poem.
hope that helped :]
Reply:I love that song.
Good Poem
Reply:yes I agree, its something good to read when you've lost a love one.

What company is the best one to send song lyrics or poetry to.?
I would like to know an honest place to send song lyrics to. I've written every since I can remember an I have always dreamed of hearing one of my songs on the radio, even if it's just one. But I'm afraid I'll get ripped off, plus it's scary having someone rate what you've written. So if anyone knows anything about this I would appreciate any info.
Thanks

First thing you need to do is mail the lyrics to your self, perhaps through registered mail. When you receive your own lyrics in the mail, DON'T OPEN THE ENVELOPE!! That way, it's copyrighted, and nobody can rip them off from you. Second, try sending them to some of the major company's, Capitol records, Warner brothers, etc. Of course, this will depend on the nature of the lyrics. Just search the web and find the mailing address of a respectable record company. You might get shot down a few times, but just believe in yourself and you'll be fine!! Good luck, and I hope that your dream someday becomes a reality!
Reply:Write to the US Copyright Office and ask
for a "copyright Kit". To Copyright is very cheap.
Do it right. Report It
Reply:To send yourself your own lyrics is not proof enough to register them as yours. Get the kit from the US Copyright and do it the legal way. is not expensive.
Do not send your demos to record companies without first talk to them, sometimes they reject them if unsolicited, Report It
Reply:You need to check out Taxi.com. I hate to tell you this, but if you did try to send your stuff to the bigger labels, they won't look at it. It would be "unsolicited material." I'm speaking from experience, my husband is signed, and there's no easy way to get there:-) Report It
Thanks

What are some Spanish song lyrics that talk about immigration?
I have some from Los Tigres Del Norte, but I need additional ones? What are some other ones that deal with Latin Americans migrating into the US?
What are some Spanish song lyrics that talk about immigration?
molotov and the song title is frijolero(beaner)
Yo ya estoy hasta la madre
de que me pongan sombrero
escucha entonces cuando digo
no me llames frijolero!!!
Y aunque exista algn respeto
no metamos las narices
por que inflamos la moneda
haciendo guerra a otros pases
Te pagamos con petrleo
e intereses nuestra deuda
mientras tanto no sabemos
quien se queda con la feria!!!
Aunque nos hagan la fama
de que somos vendedores
de la droga que sembramos
ustedes son consumidores!!!
Don't call me gringo,
You ****** beaner
stay on your side
of that goddamn river
don't call me gringo,
You beaner!!!
No me digas beaner,
Mr. Puetero
Te sacar un susto
por racista y culero.
No me llames frijolero,
Pinche gringo puetero.
Chingado!!
Now I wish I had a dime
for every single time
I've gotten stared down
For being in the wrong side of town.
And a rich man I'd be
if I had that kind of chips
lately I wanna smack the mouths
of these racists
Podrs imaginarte desde afuera,
ser un Mexicano cruzando la frontera,
pensando en tu familia mientras que pasas,
dejando todo lo tu que conoces atrs.
Si tuvieras tu que esquivar las balas
de unos cuantos gringos rancheros
Les seguirs diciendo good for nothing *******?
si tuvieras tu que empezar de cero.
Now why don't you look down
to where your feet is planted
That U.S. soil that makes you take **** for granted
If not for Santa Ana, just to let you know
That where your feet are planted would be Mexico
Correcto!!!!
Don't call me gringo,
You ****** beaner
stay on your side
of that goddamn river -

How do I write song lyrics?
You need to read, read, read more! You need to know words, phrases , syllables %26amp; sharp timing.
You have my total permission to use this!
Watch...speak these out in syllables and in time...
This song is for a guy to sing to a girl...
This is only an example...that's all.
Verse 1 - Surrender to my eyes
I dream of you in nights
Wherever you are
A fallen star collides
Chorus - There's a timeless whisper
That calls your name darling
A fragrant kiss nearer
Ever so dear my heart springs
Verse 2 Tommorow might not come
But I remeber you
Tell me the truth sweetheart
Do you love me too?
Chorus - There's a timeless whisper
That calls your name darling
A fragrant kiss nearer
Ever so dear my heart springs
Verse 3 - You are the sea, my rains
As our waves abide
And as I've longed for thee
Your kisses are like red tides
Chorus - There's a timeless whisper
That calls your name darling
A fragrant kiss nearer
Ever so dear my heart springs
Good luck to you and enjoy your new song lyrics
Reply:think of your main point... and make that tehchorus then write rhyming explaination about it.....
Reply:All you do is write the words...
Reply:Writting a song isnt something you could be taught to do over the internet. If you want to be a good song writter then write what you feel or something straight from the heart...you may already be a really good song writter

Reply:think of something like in the past good sad dreadful and make something out of it just think of something and keep adding on to that
Reply:i think you just need a lot of talent for it to be good lyrics.
2)get a pencil
3) get a life
4) think
5) think more
6) if u still dont got anything, give up.

What is the title of this song? lyrics go something like: come with me, to a place of fantasy, take my hand...
It's a dance song!
Think the lyrics are something like:
COME WITH ME, TO A PLACE OF FANTASY, TAKE MY HAND WE'LL BE TOGETHER ONCE AGAIN.. (or something like that lol)
Does anyone know the title of the song and who it's by? Thanks
What is the title of this song? lyrics go something like: come with me, to a place of fantasy, take my hand...

p.s think it's on one or the old helter skelter albums
my friend thinks the words are- come with me, to a land of fantasy, take my hand come into disco wonderland-all the children sing.....
have i got the right song?
sorry couldnt be of any more help!!
Reply:i think its called techno wonderland, dont who made the track tho, i hope this helps, im sure it appears on 1 of the bonkers cd's.
Reply:I agree... I think its Discoland. I have a Flip N Fill mix of the song on Clubland X-Treme 2 (disc 2)
Take me up, up up and away
Where the music is my fantasy,
Take me up up up and away
Where Fantasy turns to reality
Time to take my hand, and lead me to the discoland
So I can do all the things Ive been longing to do... oh oh...
Let me hear ya say now......... etc.
My second thought, was that it could, possibly, be Welcome to Tomorrow by Snap.
Welcome in to my house,
Come along and follow me.
To a place where you've never been,
A mystic fantasy.
Take a ride and go with me,
To a time and a place,
Show you things that you never knew,
Existed in another place.
But I could be off the mark slightly....
