What would be the best way to frame song lyrics that are written on lined paper?

First of all, spray the paper the lyrics are written on with something that's called Archival Mist. This will take out the acidicity of the paper and will neutralize its PH value. (helps prevent aging of the lyrics).

Second, it the paper is light colored, mount it on a dark background (preferrable acid free) so nothing will show through that's on the back. I recommend matting the lyrics so the glass does not sit directly on it. Make sure the matte(s)are acid free. Cheaper paper mattes are made from wood pulp and they will eventually "eat" away your paper. the more expensive acid free mattes are made from cotton and are naturally ph neutral. The mattes will absorb any moistures that is in the air and also help the paper to breathe.

Then, glass choice... you have regular glass, regular non-glare glass and then archival glass and archival non-glare... the first two are okay, but I would use archival glass since it filters out damaging uv rays.

Finally, put on a nice dustcover... that is also available in an acid free form

Hello, well first let me ask, "Does it have to be on that particular paper?" If not and it's something you cherish and want to keep, I would either redo it on a paper of your choice, you can put a lined paper behind the one you are writing on to keep writing straight or have someone (like me) do it in Calligraphy for you. Or if it does have to stay on that paper for some reason, you can carefully burn just the edges of the paper to give it an old look and then glue it on a colored piece or some kind or paper or better yet onto parchment paper and then frame it. Good luck on what you decide. ;o)
Reply:go to dollar tree and buy a document frame for a dollar...cheap and they look good
Reply:Mount it to acid neutral backing without adhesive, use acid neutral mat too.
