How good is your memory for song lyrics ?

Do you remember the first song you learned to sing? How old were you?

How good is your memory for song lyrics ?
Mairsey dotes...
Reply:When I was young I knew them all, now I'm lucky if I remember my name.....:)
Reply:stairway to heaven i was seven
Reply:yes .it was 1961 the song was chi chi merangue by the eloise trio
Reply:Wow, that would be a while back. I tend to remember half the lyrics and just trail off after I forget what the rest is. Sometimes I just make up the words and pray that it matches the song
Reply:I actually have about 5000 songs memorized from country to rock to a little rap. I hear a song and memorize it so I can sing to myself at work since we aren't allowed radios. First song I ever memorized, probably Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. Back when I was 10.
Reply:I was 3 or 4 when I learned this one: "I see the moon and the moon sees me; God bless the moon and God bless me."

I remember when I was about 3, my grandmother used to sing to my brother and me, many many times over --- I think she was singing us to sleep ---

The bear went over the mountain

The bear went over the mountain

The bear went over the mountain

to see what he could see

to see what he could see

to see what he could see

The bear went over the mountain, to see what he could see.

He saw another mountain

He saw another mountain...

That's what he did see...

So the bear went over the mountain....
