I wrote a couple of songs. Not music....just the lyrics. I think they are really great and was wondering how to go about selling the lyrics to bands, or whoever would be in a position to buy them.
How does one sell song lyrics that I wrote?
If your lyrics are good enough, you will earn royalties by letting bands interpret them .... that is how it works !

Reply:First, make absolutely sure that they are copyrighted!!! Then you might be able to sell them to specific bands that you like. I know a girl that gave a band that I will not name here an envelope of her poems. They turned it into an entire concept album that sold millions, and she got nothing for it - not even a writing credit. If she had copyrighted it, the story might be different.
