Where can I find the lyrics %26amp; music to song 'Beautiful, Beautiful Copenhagen'?
Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen

Friendly old girl of a town

'Neath her tavern light

On this merry night

Let us clink and drink one down

To wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen

Salty old queen of the sea

Once I sailed away

But I'm home today

Singing Copenhagen, wonderful, wonderful

Copenhagen for me

I sailed up the Skagerrak

And sailed down the Kattegat

Through the harbor and up to the quay

And there she stands waiting for me

With a welcome so warm and so gay

Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen

Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen

Friendly old girl of a town

'Neath her tavern light

On this merry night

Let us clink and drink one down

To wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen

Salty old queen of the sea

Once I sailed away

But I'm home today

Singing Copenhagen, wonderful, wonderful

Copenhagen for me
Reply:Google it. The lyrics will come up in a search.
Reply:This is an old Danny Kaye hit, from the movie, Hans Christian Anderson. I believe it is actually "Wonderful, wonderful Copenhagen" and if you look for it under that title, I'm sure you'll find it.

  1. When I was a kid my Grandma would often have my sibs and cousins and I stand around her organ and sing with her while she played. I remember one that she called "Beautiful Beautiful Copenhagen" It was very similar to this version, and I vaguely remember reading it from her music book, but I can't remember the name of the book. Here's what I remember:

    Oh beautiful, beautiful Copenhagen,
Friendly old girl of a town,
    With her harbor light,
    That she wears at night,
    Like a golden, golden crown,

    Oh beautiful, beautiful Copenhagen,
Salty old queen of the sea,
    Once I sailed away,
    But I'm home today,
    Singing Copenhagen, wonderful, wonderful,
    Copenhagen for me!

I think there was another verse that I can't remember, and I don't know if my Grandma just changed the words so we weren't singing about drinking, but I hope this helps.
